Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather technical requirements and translate them into implementable solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable APIs and system integrations across various platforms and data formats (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CSV, JSON, XML).
- Participate in client onboarding and implementation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software solutions.
- Customize and configure existing applications to meet client-specific needs and operational workflows.
- Evaluate business and technical challenges, propose solutions, and drive implementation from design to deployment.
- Troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues related to system integration, data exchange, and platform interoperability.
- Develop and maintain reusable integration components, libraries, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and support of solutions in production.
- Guide junior engineers in best practices, technical troubleshooting, and customer-oriented solution design.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to industry standards and internal quality guidelines.
Qualifications/Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 3-4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Solid experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, and Python.
- Good understanding of modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.js, for building integration UIs.
- Strong expertise in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with data warehouse systems.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, EDI X12, and other healthcare data standards used in RCM workflows.
- Understanding of the RCM lifecycle: patient registration, eligibility verification, charge capture, claim submission, and payment posting.
- Solid experience implementing API Security, OAuth2/OpenID, and access control mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare data formats and integration patterns.
- Experience building React-based user interfaces is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
